- General Information: Rooibos, also known as red bush tea, is an herbal tea made from the leaves of the Aspalathus linearis plant, which is native to South Africa. It is naturally caffeine-free and has a sweet, nutty flavor with hints of vanilla and caramel.
- Medicinal Use: Rooibos tea is rich in antioxidants, including aspalathin and nothofagin, which may help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals and support overall health. It is also believed to have anti-inflammatory properties and may aid in digestion and promote heart health.
- How to Use: To prepare Rooibos tea, bring water to a boil and pour it over Rooibos tea leaves or a tea bag in a cup or teapot. Let it steep for 5 to 7 minutes to extract the full flavor. Then, remove the leaves or bag and enjoy your Rooibos tea plain or with a splash of milk and a drizzle of honey, if desired.
Shelf Life: Store in a cool dry place for up to 24 months. It is ok to refrigerate.
